Upholstered Cornice Board project
This project was commissioned by Laura Cascadden, and posed many problems that we had to overcome.
Although the cornice was very long (10ft) the depth could only be 3.5".  She wanted the bottom roll to stand out heavily, which can not be done with regular batting or foam. We tried several different ways to create the look she wanted, and one day walking through a store I happen to look at some "swimming noodles" on display.   Immediately a light went on.  Although we had a real hard time to make the angled corners perfect, it worked out beautifully.
The look she wanted was exactly right.
Unfortunately we did not get pictures of the installed product, but both designer and client were elated with the outcome.
